It all started with one idea – the love of wood. In the late 1990s, Joachim Bertsch, founder of BHB, decided to combine his lifelong passions: craftsmanship, design and wood. In a small workshop, surrounded by forests, the vision of creating things that are durable, beautiful and functional was born.
Joachim started his business alone. He designed, constructed and sought out customers himself, putting his whole heart into it. Every house that left his workshop told a story – a story of precision, quality and love of craftsmanship.
