Zuluna - premium garden houses available for any budget

Garden houses are gaining popularity as a flexible option for garden use – whether it’s for storing tools, creating a relaxing retreat, or adding extra functional space. A key player in this market is the Zuluna brand, known for providing top-quality products at competitive prices. But what sets Zuluna apart from other garden house options? Why should you consider choosing this brand? You’ll find the answers to these and other questions in the following article.

What is Zuluna?

Zuluna is a separate brand of BHB Bertsch Holzbau, specializing in high-quality garden houses and offers a more affordable option with great quality and functionality. It’s ideal for those looking for practical and versatile cottages for a variety of uses. Zuluna is distinguished by a simpler design, which reduces costs while retaining all the key features of premium products.

Idea and concept of creation

The Zuluna brand was established in early 2010 in response to growing market demand for more affordable garden house solutions. Customers were increasingly looking for products that meet high quality standards, but are available at an attractive price – Zuluna is the perfect answer to this need.

Where did the name Zuluna come from?

The name is a combination of the first two letters of the company owner’s children’s names – Zuzia, Lukas and Natalia. It’s a personal and symbolic name that emphasizes the family nature of the business and the commitment to creating quality products.

Why is Zuluna such a good value for money?

The main factor contributing to the attractive price of Zuluna houses is the simplified design compared to the main product line of Bertsch Holzbau. Here are the key elements that reduce costs without sacrificing quality:

  • the use of single glazing instead of double glazing, as in BHB cottages,
  • smaller cross-sections of beams and joists, resulting in lower production costs,
  • thinner door leaves (42 mm instead of 58 mm as in BHB pallet houses),
  • floorboards 19 mm thick instead of 21 mm, which also reduces costs,
  • the woodwork of Zuluna houses is packed together with the house, which allows for more efficient transportation and lower shipping costs, unlike in BHB, where the woodwork is transported separately.

With these changes, Zuluna can offer products that are accessible to a wider range of customers, while maintaining the high quality and functionality of Bertsch Holzbau products.

Features of the Zuluna line

Zuluna, despite its more economical design, offers a wide range of high-quality products. Garden houses are available in a wide range of sizes and options to suit individual users’ needs.

  • High-quality wood – all wooden components are produced in Bertsch Holzbau’s own factories, which allows constant control over the quality of the raw material.
  • Robust doors and windows – the doors are distinguished by their glued wooden frames, which increases their strength. In addition, they are equipped with three fittings and wooden sleepers, which further strengthens the entire structure. Rubber seals provide excellent insulation, and windows made of real siliconized glass sheets guarantee durability and high resistance to external factors. Models with a wall thickness of 45 mm have optional ISO glazing, which improves thermal insulation. It is worth mentioning that the windows in Zuluna cottages have POL hardware with the possibility of two-handed opening .
  • Simple roof construction – roofs in Zuluna cottages are made of roof boards (tongue-and-groove) 19 mm thick.
  • Floors with milled foundation frame – all floors have a milled, closed foundation frame, which increases the stability of the entire structure. 19 mm thick floors are available as optional accessories.
  • Modularity and flexibility – Zuluna’s modern modular homes are available in a wide range of sizes and variants, with three types of roofs and two patterns of wall formwork.
  • Additional accessories – Zuluna houses offer a wide range of accessories to suit your needs. Shingles, gutters, EPDM membranes and drainage kits are available as optional extras.

New additions to the Zuluna program

Zuluna continues to expand its product line with innovations that further enhance the quality and functionality of its products.

Here are the latest developments available within the line:

  • new RAL colors for doors, windows and bar tables, as well as glazing options,
  • pre-oil impregnation of houses, which protects the wood from all sides. Choose from natural colors, light oak or antique gray,
  • modular houses in various sizes, up to 400 x 300 cm, with different roof and wall forms,
  • new wall structures without vertical joints, with ventilated exterior facades,
  • interior sliding doors and wall doors for modular homes.
